The weight of 1 meter is equal to the mathematical weight of a circle of the same diameter, and is calculated using a simple formula m = D * D * Pi / 4 * ro, where ro is the density of the material, in this case 7850 kg/m³, D is the nominal diameter. The weight of the rebar calculated according to this formula coincides with the nominal values ​​of standards, but if you select the appropriate class and standard of the reinforcement in the calculator, then the value will be taken from the references.

In real calculations of metal structures, it is worth considering that in the production of rebars, deviations of geometric dimensions from the nominal are permissible. The maximum deviations of the specific weight of the reinforcement are indicated in the reference books of the technical standards according to which it was issued.
